Art Post 12 An Illustration From 2019 and More Clip Studio Paint
Today I want to share an illustration from 2019. It was one of the first things I drew with this iPad, with an Apple Pencil, in Clip Studio Paint, and one of a handful of finished pieces I ever made (since entering high school).
I created this character and drew her following a Clip Studio official tutorial. She was inspired by tech, the internet, and the role women will play in this field. Here is a link to the tutorial I followed by Taira Akitsu: https://tips.clip-studio.com/en-us/articles/542 There is a part two. Highly recommended for beginner digital artists or those new to Clip Studio. Even if manga art is not your goal, the tutorial covers lots of basics that are common in drawing programs.
It was hard to find that tutorial again! On the CSP website sometimes it’s hard to distinguish the official tutorials from the user-submitted tutorials. When starting out, I recommend strictly sticking to tutorials by user “ClipStudioOfficial.“ This page seems to have all the official written tutorials new and old: https://tips.clip-studio.com/en-us/search?user=ClipStudioOfficial It’s easy to get sidetracked clicking around the site. When you‘re ready, you can poke around unofficial tutorials, but it’s important to remember that they will not all be good, and most are not written by professionals.
Anyway, here she is!
Almost six years later, I think it’s her time!
