Art Post Learning How to Draw Daffodils

Hello, today I continued learning how to draw flowers. Here is how my study session went:

Studying:

Learning where the shadows are:

Figuring out basic shapes:

Trying to get a pretty picture at the end:

The "exercises" were done in random order, except for the last one. (I hate calling it an exercise because that makes it sound daunting. Right now I am just getting to know the daffodil.) Maybe they are not pretty, fancy, or organized, but these simple approaches help me learn how to illustrate new things. The goal is to get it into my brain, into my soul, not make pretty practice pages.
