Blogmas 18

Blogmas day eighteen!

For today’s Christmas activity idea, how about having a Christmasy beverage?

Following our theme of being low on your own space, having little free time, and being able to enjoy Christmas by balancing the splendor, I recommend a beverage that balances the rich food and ample sweets of the season: rooibos tea!

Rooibos has, over the years, quickly ascended to the tops of my tea rankings. My favorite characteristic of rooibos is its ability to hold up to heavy foods and sweets without caffeine.

Vanilla and orange flavorings are sometimes added to enhance rooibos’s flavor, but since I am using it to wash down sweets, I prefer it plain.

Here are two rooibus I have been enjoying lately:

Republic of Tea Organic Green Rooibos

Rooibos Rocks Loose Leaf Tea

16oz Organic Rooibos Rocks Original Loose Leaf Tea
Iced Tea Anyone? Naturally caffeine and sugar free Rooibos tea is delicious and refreshing hot or cold. The naturally sweet flavor means that there’s no need to add sugar so it’s a healthy alternative to sugar laden sodas and juices.

Other similar tea ideas are Assam black tea and peppermint tea.

Merry Christmas,
