Blogmas 5

Hello! It is day five of Blogmas.

Today I want to share another Christmas cookie recipe. This one is called a meatball cookie. Here is my digital scan:

(I use butter as the shortening. The small cream cheese is the common 8 ounce brick.)

They are supposed to be the size of clementines, but I made mine like tangerines on the first tray, haha. I expect these cookies to be the consistency of meatballs in dessert form, but they are actually cotton-ball-like in texture. And a little chewy.

It feels kind of like a more fortifying cookie. It would be interesting to try and modify the recipe to add more ingredients like oats to try and make it even more fortifying, like a hearty breakfast cookie.

It's not in the recipe, but the milky glaze really adds a lovely tang to round out the flavor. For the glaze, we used powdered sugar and milk.

Hope you enjoy!

Merry Christmas,
