Hello girls! Day nine!

Today’s Christmas activity idea if you are low on space and time is to do a comfort craft. Something super extremely easy that doesn’t require any thinking.

I was going to color a three-dimensional paper town set that I got from Ikea several years ago, but I realized it wasn't Christmas themed like I thought. The scenes look spring-y so we'll save it for spring. Instead, I colored in a sketch I drew.

I am upset that the color on her sweater came out wrong. It was supposed to be periwinkle, not cyan. Why do the colors on the outside of the marker or crayon not match the color it produces? Such a cruel thing to a child artist, and a 31 year old artist. But overall, the Ikea Mala markers were super, way better than markers I used as a child. I used my technique of adding texture for a more organic look in some parts.

It was a fun picture to draw. She looks like something irked her! She's not too seriously upset, just something really pissed her off. I wonder why she is upset. Maybe she really doesn’t want to be part of this Christmas party. Maybe someone is passing of her thing as their own. Maybe someone ate her cookie.

Hope you enjoyed!

Merry Christmas!
