Journal 49 MC Vibrant Visuals, Sunning Laundry, Crumb Cake
Hello. How was your week? Hanging in there?
My week was pretty slow. I played lots of Minecraft. Tried creative mode and realized that to make it fun, I needed to do a large or detailed build. Right now I’m building an Eastern temple on a high mountain in the jungle. The site overlooks a bamboo forest and a winding river.
I also tried the new Vibrant Visuals! It was very finicky about turning on. If you're playing on the Xbox console, after installing Minecraft Preview, enable the option for Vibrant Visuals. After starting your world, go to visual settings and switch your mode to Vibrant Visuals, restarting the game and the app often. Then you can play with the settings and maybe especially with the brightness. Then restart some more.

I love the new wildflowers!
To me, the new lighting system makes the game feel surprisingly more realistic, but still block-y. Maybe the realistic feeling comes from the moods created by the light. The sunlight and the other kinds of light looked very nice, but my favorite part was the moonlight. So pretty! I love the moon. In real life, she is so lovely. I love gazing at her.
With some help, I finally did something I wanted to do for a long time. I had a pile of bedding from a van trip. It was pretty funky, and I wanted to air and sun it out before washing. (I think washing first would have set the funk, because that’s what I initially tried with one item.) It was such a simple thing but I just couldn’t find the right time. There was also a washing machine saga. Now, it’s done and they can be washed! That pile is taken care of! Hooray!
If that wasn’t satisfying enough, my partner made a tasty-looking crumb cake to eat throughout the week. Oh blessed be.
Thank you for hanging out with me. Hope you have a wonderful week and get all your laundry done! Although, is Laundry Zero really possible?
See you soon!
